Shanghai, China
Shanghai
can be considered the most exciting city in China
in the recent history. With a population of 24.2
million as of 2018 , it is the most populous urban
area in China and the second most populous city
proper in the world. Shanghai is one of the four
municipalities of the People's Republic of China.
It is located on the southern estuary of the
Yangtze, and the Huangpu River flows through it.
The Huangpu River splits Shanghai into two major
areas: Pudong and Puxi which means east and west
of the Huangpu River. The Pudong skyline looks
like the buildings are competing with each other
to be the higest. On the Puxi side, you can walk
the Old Bund riverside district to get a taste of
old Shanghai.
